Way back in 1984 when we started "Designer drives" we made our own
recessed manhole covers. I think you will agree they make a huge difference
to the overall finish of a project.
This first cover was partly in the edge blocks,which complicated the cutting,
but with skilled cutting it is virtually invisible.
This next brick one was even harder to achieve. In the end a quality project is
all dependant on detail !

Here you can see an early brindle coloured concrete block, with a
slightly canted edge.
The use of the small infill cuts is wrong and the blocks next to them should
have been cut to make sure that the final block was at least 50% of its original size.
