Recessed covers
Written by Green fingers

Way back in 1984 when we started "Designer drives" we made our own

recessed manhole covers. I think you will agree they make a huge difference

to the overall finish of a project.

This first cover was partly in the edge blocks, which complicated the cutting,

but with skilled cutting  it is virtually invisible.

This next brick one was even harder to achieve. In the end a quality project is

all dependant on detail !

Canted block edge
Written by Green fingers

Here you can see an early brindle coloured concrete block, with a

slightly canted edge.

The use of the small infill cuts is wrong and the blocks next to them should

have been cut to make sure that the final block was at least 50% of its original size.
